Wordless Wednesday..... with the words!

I wish you could spend a day or even an hour with us. These pictures are just a sample of about 1 hour, we read books mainly. He loves, I mean LOVES books, we read probably 60% of his awake time! Not all at once though, because that would mean he sits still and that is not possible for a little boy that has so much exploring to do!

He loves this owl, especially when mommy makes its sounds "Whoo-ooo-ooo"!

My first Children's Bible, thank you Aunt Joan!

He loves OUTSIDE, this window is so neat because it has daddy and outside!

Getting into our dining room window, it's a no-no (the blinds). You can tell he is
concerned, but not enough to let go of them!

Uh-Oh!

This is on his way into the dining room, from his bedroom, down the hall.

January and full of Energy!

Spring COME QUICKLY!

Oh look what I found... an old pic of Truett last year at this time!

I love it when he gets on his knees... he has to always be ready!

I know... mommy is funny....looking! He loves his ball fort!

"Really, Daddy?" Concerned look!

I'm going to get the camera! "Doctor In Training" scrubs he got for his birthday!

Dr. Truett Hahaha!!

Reading his "medical" books!

Alone time is over.... thank you Babywise!

So I don't have much to say.... life is busy busy keeping up with a walking 1 year old. He loves to go outside and we try to go at least once a day, weather permitted. Soon Wayne and I will have a night to ourselves. We are going to see You're a good man, Charlie Brown at a local college and will not be back until late, so Wayne's mom has asked to keep him overnight. She is a saint!! It will probably be the weekend of the 21st! Also, Valentine's Day is approaching, we will probably go grab something to eat with Truett and get some dessert at a local bakery! Well, that is all for now. Truett is almost 32 inches and 26 lbs.! He is a lug to carry around!

Truett's 1st Birthday!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Truett!!

He got lots of great things but he enjoyed everyone playing with him the most!

He loves balloons, books, and puzzles and he got lots of them!

Although, he didn't care too much for eating his cake or getting his fingers messy!

He did like to look at it though! Oh well, I'm sure he will like sweets one day.

Aunt Tammy and Kerigan Kerigan, Aunt Tammy and her girls

Jacob and his funny glasses The sisters and their children

Kerigan showing Truett what his toys can do. She loved his musical table.

Nanna and Pappa and their youngest grandson. Maw Maw and Paw Paw and their 1st grandchild.

We had a blast and I'm officially recouping from Truett's party. We had such a good time and we ate and ate and ate. Truett is ONE!!!! It's so hard to believe but I guess time does fly. Although 9 months ago I was hoping for time to fly..... now it can slow wayyyyy down.

He is walking so good, but not great. He walks everywhere but will crawl after he is halfway across the room. He is "talking" so much. It's like he REALLY is telling me something but I can't understand it. He jabbers and then looks at me as if to say "don't you agree momma" and of course I say "Really! Yes, Truett". It will be no time now before I wish it was just jabbering and not "What's that? Why? What's this? How?" and I can't wait until then, but for now I would like time to stand still. He is such a sweet boy.

We go over our body parts and mainly the face. When I says "eyes" I beat my eyelashes really fast, when I say "nose" I snort like a pig (don't picture me doing this!) and when I say "mouth" I make sounds with my mouth. This morning while I was changing his clothes he pointed to my eyes and I said" eyes" blinking ever so fast and before he could touch my eye I snapped my mouth like I was going to bite him and he would giggle so hard it made me want to scream. We did that for about 5-10 minutes and I tell you motherhood is more than it seems. I think my heart would explode if I put anymore love into it!

I wish I could tell every momma what they miss when they go off to work, but I can't. There is no way to explain the feeling of worth and exhaustion after a day with a little one year old. He and his daddy are all my life was supposed to be and more, thank you God for making men like them. If Truett could grow up to be half the man Wayne is then I would say he hung the moon! Have I told you lately how awesome a daddy Wayne is. By no means is he perfect but let me tell you he is the most Christ-like person I've ever met. Well, there you have it folks my life wrapped up in a couple of paragraphs. I know life won't be perfect for long, so let me go enjoy it! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TRUETT! You are your parents Hallelujah!

Cupcakes

I am making my first "trial" run of birthday cupcakes. I am going to make the cupcakes at Truett's party and am making the cupcakes and icing from scratch. They haven't come out of the oven yet, but the dough was DE-LISH!!!

I'll post more later!

Eeeeekkk!

See that mommy! Do you hear that puppy, mommy?

Figuring out the outside world! Laughing at seeing a kitty cat

Me
Wayne - by the way he is NOT an LSU fan; he was being nice to our friends Kyle and Paige!

This is Mister Funnypants
Making all of our lives brighter!

He loves being outside and taking our daily walks... but he loves what we find on them: puppies, kitty cats, squirrels, birds, and "tees" (trees)

I forgot to mention, Truett is WALKING!! He took his 1st step Dec. 6th but has slowly progressed and still prefers the fast crawling to his walking. He has walked across the room a couple of times and is taking 18-20 steps before getting on his hands and knees and crawling. I must have missed mentioning this in the latest posts! What a bad mommy! :)

He has 4 teeth almost completely in and then 2 top teeth that are breaking through, so he has 4 or 6 teeth, depending on how you see things. Truett has been the sail in our winds now for quite sometime, but he is soo dang funny! He loves making us laugh and will start acting silly just to see if we think it is funny too.

His birthday party is in a week and I'm going to make homemade cupcakes and icing, wish me luck! I'm going to give it a trial run this weekend and if things go south I'll call Harlow's Bakery. We will have pizza, chips and dip, and birthday cake. Aunt CoCo (Nicole), Uncle Keith and Kerigan are coming down and staying the night on Wednesday. I'm so excited for Kerigan and Truett to see each other and play together. I'm sure it is more exciting for me and Nicole than it is for the little ones.

Truett's "real" birthday is next Friday and Mrs. Kim (mother-in-law) wants to go to Chuck-E-Cheese or something like that. I should post some pics and updates as soon as the fury slows down. Wish everyone could be there but we hope you check back a see the pictures and stories!
