Over it so fast
The next day Truett was ready to go, go, go, but he did throw up once more later that day. He loved writing on a dry erase board and himself of course.
"Hold it, Hold it, camera, mommy!" "I wan it, I wan it!" This starts way too soon!
Checking out his battle scars!

Visiting back home, Part 2
Truett got sick the following week after spending 4 straight days outside and getting into every pinestraw pile and picking up every pine cone we could find and throwing it. We then went to church that very morning and spent the whole morning enjoying others germs, that night Truett was sick! Who knows what causes it, but I do know he was exposed to plenty of allergens and germs that long weekend!
We ended up going to the pediatrician later that week, his cough was getting worse and worse. It has been 10 months since we were sick last. His last visit was December of last year! He did have bronchiolitis last October (one of the two viruses that causes bronchiolitis is RSV) so we didn't want to wait too long.
Truett watching "Big Comfy Couch" like a big boy. This has been the only show he will watch all the way through. I think it's because the show comes across like a play, at a slow and understandable (if that is a word) pace.
"Come on, Honey do!" Yes, he did say that! He is talking in sentences and not just 2 or 3 words anymore!
Odie wanted up too! Truett would love to get his hands on him, but that little kitty would swat at him.
"Hold you, mommy!" It's music to my ears

Too good to be true!
It's been 10 months since Truett has been to see the pediatrician and low and behold while we are away, Truett has his first stomach bug! He woke up that morning and seemed to be fine but while eating he laid his head on his hand and just sat there. He has done this before but usually during lunch or when he is tired. I dismissed it. When I got him out of his highchair he laid his head down on my shoulder, again not everyday but not way out in left field either. I said " you want to lay down on mommy and daddy's bed" and he did he laid there not making a sound... now this is out of the norm. I just laid there thinking, "man, he must of woke up in the night or something to be so tired". He looked at me and whined and then, to spare you the details he was sick. I felt so helpless and a little afraid. He seemed so pitiful and was looking to me for an answer. All I could muster up was "It's o.k. baby, mommy's here" over and over. It seemed to work, but then I wished my mom were there to tell me the same. The day was miserable and there would be little spurts of light and then times where I would just hold his little limp body and pray that God would hold me and this blessing he bestowed upon Wayne and myself.
Truett is such a champ and a wonderful patient, his wife will be so glad, one day! :P I took a few pictures after the gory morning and as bad as he felt he managed to smile for the first picture, a true model :)
You wouldn't know he was sick, except for as soon as I took this picture he had the most pitiful look on his face :(
He just laid there all day
Well we did make a bed for him in the middle of our living room!
He had a diaper on and this blanket, it was a sweet mommy moment! He just wanted to cuddle all day!!
Watching none other than "Lunette, Molly, Major Bedhead, Uncle Chester, Granny Garbanzo, and Snickle Fritz"

Swimming and Splashing
Truett loved going to the pool and although we didn't go that much we made a good time of it! Too bad he got a stomach virus the next day. More on that to come.
Daddy and Truett on the kiddie slide.
"A airpwane", that is what he said.
Truett loves to swing and makes his daddy do it often!
The splash area was precious.
He was on cloud 9

Visiting back home, Part 1
On one of our visits back home, I got to visit with my oldest sister, Nicole. She lives in Texas and we don't get to see each other as we would like. I took a few pictures of the kids.
Jeremiah is so funny and scary at the same time :)
Kerigan is the princess in our world!
Truett and Kerigan are only a month apart and they do love on another, yea right!!
Sorry, CHARLIE!
That is all I can say! Whew!! It's been a very VERY long month, or very short depending on how you look at it. We were in North Carolina until the 1st of September. Wayne started working immediately on "Gustav". He was busy from the word "go" and hasn't slowed down yet! He will hopefully take an afternoon off, soon!
We did not have electricity for a week after Hurricane Gustav so we camped out at Wayne's parents, I shouldn't say camped, they did have electricity :) We never made it back home. Wayne, Truett and I headed to Lafayette, and that is where we have been since Sept. 7th!

Looking out of our living room was a large balcony! Truett loved going in and out and being able to open and shut the doors was so much fun!
Truett thought "Lafadette" was home! He loved walking around the pond at night, saying "hi" to the ladies and gentlemen that would drive by on their bikes or the ladies downstairs. W (Truett and I) will miss Lafayette!
T
He made himself at home RIGHT AWAY! I think he will miss the sweet times we had in "Lafadette"!
We (Truett and I) came home a couple of times. I will fill you in more with each following post.

Good-bye Sweet "Cott and Beck Beck"
Truett was infatuated with Uncle Scott and Aunt Becca's house, dogs, and even with them. He talks about them daily and we wish we could visit you guys more often. Here was us leaving them, only Uncle Scott could make it to see us off but we'll miss you both terribly.
This is an understated picture of the way Truett felt and acted on our trip! You can see in the following picture just how much his mood changed when I told him we had to leave Uncle Scott and Aunt Becca and it would be a while before we could see them again. He truly seemed to understand it in parts.
He never cried but looked like he could try to get a tear!
Uncle Scott tried very hard to cheer him up!

It worked a little bit!

Take me back to MAYBERRY, Part 1
Mount Airy and Mayberry very well may have been our highlight of the trip. None of us, except for Paw Paw, really WANTED to go. But after Paw Paw's recommendation and everyone wanting everyone else to have a great trip we decided it couldn't hurt us! We had a fast, but very nice time!
Look carefully to the right of the police car, there were "street preachers" on that corner. Preach it, brothers!
Me, Truett, and Barn!
Wayne's so very clever shot!
Don't give the man a camera, he will shoot every random picture, hey Uncle Scott (in the background)
