10 months old!!

Hello everyone! I'm sorry it's been a good while since I've updated the blog. We have had some fun couple of weeks. Today 11-25-07 Truett turned 10 months and it has been a roller coaster of a time!

We enjoyed Truett's 1st Thanksgiving with our family. We had a blast, he was a hit with all family members. We hope Aunt Becca and Uncle Scott get the baby fever real soon, so next year we will have another playmate! Cousin Daniel and his wife Kristy should also get bitten since they will welcome their first niece soon (Billy and Nancy are expecting Jordan in January). I am so glad there are more family members in Wayne's family that are of "that" age, so we don't get the dreaded "when is your next one" question! We want to enjoy Truett and hope to add another blessing to our family in a few years. We hope they are space out a little but would welcome another when it is in God's timing! If we never have another child it would also be o.k. with us. We are so content right now with our trio, I can't imagine adding another right now.

We are counting down the days until Christmas, we have made a wish list for Truett on Target so we can mark off the toys as we buy them! It is a mixture of Christmas items and birthday toys. Since, his birthday is exactly one month away from Christmas we thought we could stock up on the pre- and post- Christmas sales.

We had some professional pictures done a month ago and they are up on this link: http://kellymoorephotography.morephotos.com/mp_client/pictures_welcome.asp?categories=no&keywords2=no&eventid=14804
let me know if you can not get it. We love them and only wish we could afford to do this many times a year!

Truett is crawling faster than I can walk and loves to walk (although he hasn't taken his "first step"). He is so stable and sure of himself I feel like it's a matter of days before this will become his new trade. He has been jabbering away and has managed to say dadda and "uh-oh" (if you consider that a word). He also says "Larrrraay", we found this out on Thanksgiving day. Mamaw Kim was yelling at one end of the house for Papaw Larry to come help her, Truett and Wayne were in the living room and Truett yelled it right back at her as plain as I could say it!! Now it is "the" rage! He mimics almost every word that you enunciate and over pronounce! He does not say MOMMA!!! To my dismay he can not, or should I say will not. He only smiles at me as if to say "You know who you are"! I don't mind as long as he continues in his rapid development of speech, he also says -ight for light! He weighs 23lbs. and is 31'' long. He has slowed down a good bit on how fast he grows, this is fine by me. I thought I was going to tote around a 4 ft. 1 year old there for a while!

Well, enough babbling for now. I hope to put some recent pics up tomorrow or Tuesday.

Some professional pictures!

Sorry I haven't updated recently, I have no excuse except to say I'm busy!! We had some family pics taken. Anne came over 2 weeks ago and we took some pics of Truett in his Halloween costume and around the house and park. We had a good time and Anne was so sweet. She is so very talented. We got a few pics back and love them. As soon as I get more I'll post the website info and you can check out all of the pictures.

Let me see..... since I last posted Nicole (my oldest sister) and her little girl (Kerigan) came to visit. We had a good time and Kerigan is sooo pretty! Truett's first Halloween was fun, we visited with Aunt CoCo (Nicole), Kerigan, Nana, Papa, Jeremiah, and Jacob. We left there and visited with MawMaw and PawPaw. Truett licked on a "dumdum" sucker and got a bag full of goodies!

We are looking forward to his 1st Thanksgiving and Christmas!! I'm already looking for stocking stuffers!

You can check out these pictures and more of Anne's great work at: http://myphotography.wordpress.com/

I'll post more soon.

More pics

These are some older pics.... enjoy!

Truett's 1st's!!!!!!!!!!

Truett will be 8 month and 2 weeks this Tuesday (the 9th of October). He is given us a couple of firsts this week. On Thursday, the 4th of October, we noticed his bottom two teeth. We haven't been checking them because they are never there (when we checked previously). So, we thought we'll notice them eventually. Well, over at "family" night with my family, my sister(Natalie) says "Oh, he has teeth?" I casually smirked "yea, they come and go" (meaning they seem like they are always going to come in and then disappear! She said "Uhhh, ok". Later I gave him a smidgen of my mashed potatoes and felt two lovely fixtures in his mouth!! Go Truett!! He has been hiding them :)

Today as DADDY was watching Truett I heard a bump and looked to find Truett mustering up the biggest cry I've heard from him. If you have met Truett you know he is not a "crier" (thank you Babywise) and a good " natured" baby, so to hear this cry brought tears to my eyes. Daddy picked him up and comforted him for a moment until I Truett reached over to me, I wanted to cry when I saw him! He had a bump on his left forehead and a cut under his left eye. He banged it pretty good. Bless his sweet heart! I had to (being the mean mommy) take pictures of it. So, some of the pics you see are from today (Oct. 7th).

We also took pictures of Truett in his Halloween costume on his 8 month birthday. He will be a scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. He has been standing so good and walking around the coffee table, I guess a bump and fall are to be expected but you never want to see it (or hear it) happen! I know all moms experience this.... thanks for letting me share!
