Up to date...

Uncle Scott (Wayne's brother) Aunt Rebecca (Scott's wife) and baby Ethan (our newest cousin) came in for Paw Paw Pete's funeral and we loved visiting with them and gushing over Ethan. We hated that we were all gathering for Paw Paw's funeral but we really got to know some other family members for Virginia and West Virgina (where Paw Paw grew up).

Truett started sticking his tongue out while he is talking (to give him a baby sounding speech). It drives me crazy but I try not to act like it bothers me.

He's such a big boy!
I think you are up to date... I will try to be more exciting and post more pictures soon! I'll be posting my 5 month picture soon! I can't believe I'm half way there! We go for our 20 week ultrasound and doctor's visit today! Keep in touch... we might be announcing something VERY soon!

Tomorrow.....

I can't believe how fast time has flown, I go for my 20 week visit and ultrasound tomorrow. We switched doctor's and this is my first visit in 6 weeks. Maybe they will tell me I have TWO in there... probably not! I can't wait to know...a boy or a girl! I think it's a boy and so does Wayne. Truett told me the day I found out I was expecting it was a baby sister. I guess we'll find out tomorrow! The Lord is so good!

Where have you been?

You've been right here... me too! Except I haven't really. We got back from vacation to get ready for VBS and then ended up with Paw Paw Pete in the hospital. Then our sweet Paw Paw passed into eternity to meet the creator and sustainor of the universe. We envy him and grieve for him. We will forever miss him and long to hear his stories and miss his love for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. After the funeral and much visitation from relatives, we have settled into a semi-routine. We have switched doctors and hope to now settle back down into a calm week or two! :)

We did enjoy visiting with my sister, Nicole and her oldest, Kerigan (she is pregnant and due in January). We met them and Nanna (my mom) at McDonald's a few weeks back.

Nanna, Kerigan and Truett

Can't keep him still!
Spending some sweet time with Maw Maw Mary and our newest cousin, Ethan. Ethan is Wayne's brother (Scott) and his wife's (Rebecca) little boy.

4 months...

I can't believe yesterday made 16 weeks! Sometimes I don't even remember I'm pregnant, but the BUMP reminds me of this! Truett often reminds me that I have a baby sister in there. We haven't found out what we're having, not 100% sure we will.

We are having a hecal decal of a time with doctors... I won't bore you with many details. I will just say we love, love, LOVE the midwife center in Lafayette, but I'm now paranoid that something will happen (like last time) and I'll be forced into another c-section. That is when I think well THEN I want to be close to home... so I'm in the search for a ob here in town. Many issues inbetween, but like I said, I won't bore you with those details. Please, if you feel led to, pray for understanding and wisdom, two things we are seeking at this time.

I'm on the desktop, so, NO pictures for right now. But, I did take one to commemerate the 4 month mark! I'll post it soon! My belly is MUCH bigger this go round, although I don't think I've gained anymore than last time I LOOK much bigger. I think I looked like this around 22-24 weeks last time, YOZERS!! I'm not complaining. I rub my belly all day long, I feel the little one off and on all day, I can't wait until I can feel him constantly. I love laying in bed at night... the little one is so active when I lay down (or that is when I stop to feel). :)

Animals, Water and A Sweet Sweet Little Boy,

It was a windy, chilly, and sometimes sunny day. We decided to take in a little inside/ outside aquarium. We watched a dolphin show, it was really cute. Truett loved to see them do tricks, but when I would clap he would say " No mommy, don't clap. It's just for me and daddy to clap!" He would say this EVERYTIME I would clap, until the end and then he said "Okay mommy, you can clap with us!" How kind!! But really, he was so affectionate to me this day, it was a day to cherish!

15 weeks and rest...

Today is bittersweet. Our sweet Paw Paw Pete is not doing well, not well at all. He went into the hospital Thursday evening after a fall. He had a stroke last fall and has been slowly, but surely, getting around. After his fall Thursday he was admitted to the hospital where they wanted to check with his doctors to make sure he could handle the hip surgery. He has been pretty congested but the doctors said, he had fluid all over his body. He has kidney failure from having diabetes for so long and he has had past heart surgery (a balloon). He sounded congested in his throat Friday evening when we talked to him and then later that evening he went into respiratory distress. He was sent to the ICU where things have gotten worse, they put him on a respirator Saturday and said he is "very sick". We don't foresee him making it through the week, but we know it's not our timing. Maw Maw Mary is really having a hard time, if you feel led please pray for all of us.

I'm 15 weeks along today, and feel like this pregnancy has been but a blink of my eye. Last night, after hearing Paw Paw might not make it through the night, I felt the baby more than I have since I started feeling this little one nearly 4 weeks ago. He/she was so active, I wonder if the crying got the baby moving. Well, I don't have an update belly picture, but I am definitely showing. I am weighing the same as I was with Truett at this point, but I'm "showing" much much more.
