"I need to do it by Truett's self"

This is the phrase I continue to hear every hour and maybe even more than that. Truett is trying to do so much for himself, this is harder for me to take than for him. He is successfully eating his food by himself, sliding down BIG slides, getting in and out of things and he no longer needs mommy, well that is, until he needs help :P

Truett had a "Big Boy" haircut. I believe his last haircut was last year at this same time. Truett loves his new, big boy cut and we are loving it too.

Truett needed a trim...

Before:

After and wet:

we don't necessarily want Truett to have long hair, but we like it the way it is. I've had a couple of people comment on "Oh! Truett's hair is getting long" and " He's just too pretty to be a boy following a comment on how they "love" his hair". I know most people like shaved boys heads, especially in these very small Louisiana towns, but quite frankly we don't care. I'm not saying "never" but we have NO intentions on having his hair really short anytime in the near future. We are a little rebellious and like to ruffle a few feathers. SO... having that said, I did "trim" Truett's hair and I actually liked it better before the cut. Oh, well! It will grow back! I'll try to take more pictures this week.

Fun afternoons, "BIG" boy haircuts, and swings!

We love bath time!

I think he is a little dazed!

He might be pooped!
Big boy haircut

"Hello?"

So, I wanted to update you all last weekend, but as you can tell that didn't happen! We had a gorgeous weekend 2 weekends ago. We went to a local lake called Lake Buelow, we went walking on some trails in the woods. There were lots of hills and Truett loved the fresh air and towering trees. We would walk him up the hills in his wagon and then run down while the other would take a picture at the bottom of the hill and try to catch Truett's laugh and windblown hair. Which brings us to his hair... it was long, really long. When we got home from church that Sunday he got his first "big" boy haircut. Not too much off, but nonetheless, a much needed cut. Wayne did it since he didn't "trust" me to cut his little man's hair. We won't let Wayne know he did gap his hair up :)
