Truett loves to play outside, especially in wooded areas. So, I was not at the least surprised by this new rash. We will just take it easy for the next few days, I know it's not contagious now, but he's pretty uncomfortable by the rash and all it's itching. We are enjoying some extra baths and television.

You have my sympathy, Truett! I get poison ivy SO easily! I'm just getting over some here, too (still some on my stomach - how did it get there?). My neighbor kindly shares his with me when it comes through the wooden fence.
Contrary to what some doctors say, I believe the liquid inside of each blister is super contageous!
If/when you feel like you can't stand the itching any more (even though you will be using antihistamines in rubbing-cream and liquid med, there is a med that your doctor can give you that works like magic! It's the meds that many athletes use illegally to gain muscles faster. Of course, that won't be what you're using it for. After starting this med, the blisters will be almost even with the rest of your skin after only one day of use!
Either way, I hope you get rid of your poison ivy super soon!
