Blogging Contest... My 1st Ever!!

Hey guys! I wanted to ask a favor to all 3 of my blog readers, since our new addition will officially put an end to our WHAT (Wayne Heather And Truett) era. I don't think WHATJ will not be the cutest blog name, I wanted to get your opinion and feedback. If I select your blog name I will send you a $25 gift card to Target.

November is still far off, but I'd love to get a new blog look up way before then. Please let me know what you think we should change it to. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated! Good luck !!

Oh, and any advice on how to make this blog more helpful would be greatly appreciated. Should I put more recipes? less about me, more about issues? less about issues? more about embarrassing daily happenings (I have PLENTY)?

Bye Bye Bad Bug

Truett's recent virus, left him with a fever and us with lots of time indoors. We played games, read books, watched movies, and played with too many toys. Truett was ready to go outside as soon as his 5 day fever broke. To which I happily obliged.

Eating was not his biggest priority and because he is typically such a good eater I knew it was not going to be a huge deal for him to munch on pretzels and peanuts. He didn't, however, like his Ensure, a.k.a. milkshake.

Trying to be a happy patient for mommy.

It was bound to happen again...

the dreaded charlie horse! I never had a single charlie horse until I was pregnant with Truett. I don't exactly remember when it happened with Truett but OW! is it ever BAAACK!! This morning at 6 am while stretching my leg. I did some research when I was pregnant with Truett and found that rubbing my calf while stretching my toes helps the most, but those episodes can last up to a minute and when you are holding your breath it can seem like forever.I learned not to stretch my right leg when I was pregnant with Truett and I guess I'll have to remember with Jett.

I didn't have a single charlie horse in between my pregnancies, I also read that the baby takes most of it's calcium out of their mommy at night and this is when the majority of charlie horses occur in pregnant women.

Have you ever had a charlie horse? Was it THIS bad, or worse?

Next week is my 6 month doctor appointment, this pregnancy is going way too fast. I'll post pictures afterwards. Tomorrow I'll tell you about our little bad bug.

I wanna be like you

Truett woke up and asked where daddy was, to which I replied "He's already at work honey, he left before you woke up." Truett then said "Daddy's a very hard worker, mommy." I answered "Yes, baby he works very hard for mommy and Truett, if he didn't mommy would have to leave Truett and work too". The glimmer in his eye said "I want to be like him!" It's a morning conversation like that that really makes my heart sing: Praise be to God!!

Good morning from us over here at the Mullins' household!

Last month's ultrasound pictures of Jett...

So this was him at 19 weeks, 3 weeks ago. He was 10 ounces or was it 12, I can't remember, and a little bigger than the last occupier of mommy's womb. He is much more active than Truett was. He moves as much as Truett did at 24-26 weeks, I'm only 22 weeks. I love feeling him and usually go to sleep feeling him kick and do flips, I am sure I have a smile on my face as I fall asleep.

I have NOTHING ready for Jett. I guess this is what people mean by "Your next one will be different". I believe I had EVERYTHING ready for Truett's nursery at this point. I still have most of Truett's things (thankfully). So, I shouldn't have to purchase too much.

So soon...

I can't believe it, I had my first Braxton-Hicks Contraction about 4 weeks ago. I had NO idea they would come so soon. I remember them vividly from my pregnancy with Truett. I did not start having them when I was pregnant with Truett until 24-28 weeks, or at least from my memory. Maybe I just didn't know what it was, but this is without a doubt the practice contractions. I get about 4-6 a day and it's nothing to worry about. I just can't believe how fast this pregnancy has flown by. Truett's pregnancy was at a snail's pace.

I'm in my 22nd week and feel great, my appetite is ferocious!!! Aghhh... that can't be good. I try to pace myself. I also felt my first bouts of heartburn/indigestion, I felt it when I was 26 weeks with Truett and felt it this time when I was 20 weeks!! I'm definitely bigger this time round, and the little one is bigger also, so far. I don't know if we'll do another ultrasound but he's about 2 ounces larger than Truett was at this point, he is now at 1 lb. :) Now who am I to blame for the other NINE? And to end this mad pregnant woman's rant with a rave, Wayne can see and feel Jett kick. We just watched the little active man last night.

Well it's a .....

BOY!!!!!!! Truett said he has a sister named, Jett! We have not officially named him Jett, but we are pretty certain this will be his name!

Because this baby is due in November and Truett was born in January he will be able to wear most of Truett's clothes. That is a relief. I hope to buy new baby bedding (since Truett's has had it). I really liked our new doctor, Dr. Beiber. He was great and we're trying for a VBAC... WE SHALL SEE!
