My first midwife appointment...
went well, it was last Tuesday. We mainly visited and went over my H&P (History and Physical). I met just one of the midwives that is at the birthing center. Her name is Lynnette and she is WONDERFUL! We discussed my due date and she said that it doesn't really matter which day I'm due... we'll just say the week of Thanksgiving. We will take the earliest date now and if we go over we'll use the latter date to figure out when to induce! Works for me! I had not gained any weight, my blood pressure was 82/62, normal for me. I was 8 weeks and 1 day.
Today I'm 9 weeks, about the same. Although, I do notice that at night I have that "stuffed" feeling. I will be 12 and a half weeks for my next appointment, I'll meet the back up OB, the guy who I'll see should an emergency occur. My next appointment won't be until I'm 18 weeks. I really didn't want to have many appointments at the beginning of my pregnancy, all that is done is talking and weighing. I'd rather have "big" appointments, you know, where we get to measure, discuss, review, and get some stuff done. The trip is a little under and hour and a half, so the fewer the better.
I'm super excited about the birthing center, it's family oriented and very cozy. I am so glad we are using this route.

Beautiful Weather...
and an Easter Egg Hunt, the Resurrection Story and great food! Thank you, sweet Amanda for your everything! We met with Mrs. Amanda, Mrs. Challie, and Mrs. Misty, Anabelle, Sidney, Chloe, and Maddie at the Burlew's. The little ones loved playing inside and out. Truett loves the egg hunt and all the children sat still and quiet (relatively) quiet the whole time.

Do you play your air guitar?
Truett loves to play his "guitar". He has several shirts with a guitar on them and he acts like he is playing it. If he doesn't have one on his shirt he pretends. He loves jumping on our bed, so, when you combine them you get a rock star! He likes to play air drums, trumpet and violin, but nothing compares to his "guitar".
Rock On, Truett!

Daddy Day
Last week when my best friend and I and our mother in laws went on a shopping trip, our sweet husbands enjoyed some time alone with their little ones. We had a blast and apparently they did too! Jeffrey and Wayne got together and fed some ducks/geese. I'm so thankful for a husband who knows when I need a break. It was so nice!
This picture is so funny, I was looking at it with the table, Truett, Jeffrey, and Anabelle in view. Then I looked in the background, and yes, they are at a cemetery!! How funny! There is a lot of ducks/geese there and a pond. I can't stop shaking my head... oh well!

Deja Vu!!!
I remember when I was expecting Truett how I didn't know I was expecting just because of the outward appearance. I mean I was tired and a little more hungry than normal, but come on, who hasn't had a day or two or weeks when they felt this way (when they were not expecting). I also remember a certain post on this blog.
I, also, can't believe how big I really will get. I will definitely tell more and more, but there will also come a time when people say are you due any day now or are you carrying two? That's how big you get. I just can't believe how much I can grow in 9 months and then how small it really can be again. God is so creative.
I probably won't post a picture but once every month or so, that way I won't completely bore you and maybe you can see a big difference when the growth spurt kicks in!
6 week shot

This was me and all my 9 months glory. I don't think I ever posted this....
this was right before I had Truett. This was a cell picture, my last one pregnant. Wowweee!

Belly Shot...
Sorry they are so late, Amanda!

So this is my first time taking a belly shot of my little #2. Everything seems to be going exactly like the first. With Truett I had the "PMS" like symptoms until about 7 weeks. Which I am still having on an occasion. I am in my 6th week and as of Friday I'll begin my 7th week. I get hungry a little bit faster than normal and I am pretty tired, all the same symptoms as with Truett. I'd love to tell you I'm having cravings, but just like last time I just choose to eat bad when I eat chocolate! :) I will post my 6 week shot soon, stay posted!
With Truett I used an OB in Alexandria. After having a horrible birth experience, Wayne and I have decided to use a midwife center in Lafayette called Gentle Choices. We are so excited they are going to take us. We are about an hour and a half away and I am a VBAC patient, but they have taken ALL precautions for caring for a VBAC patient. There is also a OB that works with them in emergency cases. I will see him as well as their midwives just to be acquainted. My first appointment is next week, I'll post and let you know how it goes.
Another subject of interest: We might not find out what the gender is with this one. We have been discussing why we would and why we would not. Right now we are undecided. I will not need an ultrasound unless something unforeseen happens. I can have one if I choose to. We are hoping for an unmedicated, natural, labor and look forward to an atmosphere that encourages this. We are so excited about this little one and I can't wait to see things progress. To God be the glory, great things he hath done!

Surprise...
I don't know how else to tell you, but I'm....

I can't believe Truett is going to be a big brother and I'm really going to have another little boy or girl! God is so good!

Water, Woodchips, and Walmart
Today we woke up and went to Lake Buhlow to watch the boat races. Truett heard them the other day when we passed the lake, they were doing test runs. We told him we would come back and let him watch them. He enjoyed it but when the boats would start up right beside us (we were sitting right next to where the boats docked) he would put his hands over his ears. We only stayed for 2 or 3 races, I'm glad the admission was free to the public. We left to play on our playground at church. We left there to pick up some sandwich fixings for tonight. We have some friends of ours over almost every Saturday to fellowship and discuss God's Word, theology and doctrine (mostly the men) and babies, our children, family, and cooking (mostly us ladies). We end with dessert, yummy! Sometimes we end up at the church playground, maybe a half mile away! We love our dear brothers and sisters.

Love is as strong as death...
Song of Solomon 8:6-7
Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away. If one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned.

Please, don't adjust your computer!
Truett usually doesn't get his paci unless it's night-night time... but he somehow sneaked 3 paci's into the bathtub! I will miss this little phase of his life, I feel it slipping through my fingers as we speak. I'm determined to enjoy what is left of the "baby stage". In these pictures he really does look like a baby. Sweet Truett, I wish you could possibly know what you mean to me and your daddy! Thank you for bringing so much joy into our lives for such a short time!

I'm just playing with some effects. Truett continues to be our stand up comic! Gotta love him!
